Cricket Betting at jata 7 — Place Smart Bets on BPL, IPL and T20 Matches
Whether it's Bangladesh Tigers in action or the heat of the BPL — jata 7 has betting markets for every cricket format. From Match Winner to Live In-Play, all bets in one place.
Three Formats of Cricket and Major Tournaments
In cricket betting, each of the three formats matters in its own way. T20 matches are the fastest — results are decided in just a few hours, making them the most popular format for live betting. Odds shift every over, and the chance of a six off the last ball can turn the market completely around.
ODI (One Day International) matches place greater importance on strategy — there are far more markets around run scoring over 50 overs, wicket counts and partnerships. Test cricket runs over five days, a draw is possible, so there is a three-outcome market — something that does not exist in T20.
The biggest excitement in Bangladesh is generated by the BPL — the contest between franchises from Dhaka and other cities across the country. Alongside that, international events like the IPL and the T20 World Cup also see very active betting markets. Interest is naturally highest for Bangladesh Tigers matches at major ICC tournaments.
Beyond cricket, jata 7 also offers betting on football and other sports. Football does not have a single-franchise league like the BPL or IPL, but international tournaments and club matches are available regularly. The main difference between cricket and football is that a draw is a common result in football, so the market structure is different. Just as run rate and wickets matter in cricket, goals and red card statistics take that role in football.
T20 Format
Fast and high-energy. Odds change on every ball. The most suitable format for live betting.
ODI and Test
More markets and more analysis in longer formats. The draw market is also available in Test cricket.
IPL Betting
India's franchise league is very popular in Bangladesh. Detailed markets are available.
Football and Others
Alongside cricket, football and other sports offer different types of markets and a different odds structure.
Popular Betting Markets — How Each One Works
A betting market is the type of outcome you are betting on. Cricket has many kinds of markets — you can bet on far more detailed questions than just 'who will win'. Seven popular markets are briefly explained below.
For more detailed rules on betting, read the Terms and Conditions, and visit the Responsible Gaming page for information on setting play limits.
01 Match Winner
Which of the two teams will win — this is the simplest market. If the team you pick wins the match against the opposing team, your bet is successful.
02 Toss Winner
A bet on the result of the coin toss before the match begins. This is a completely independent market, separate from the match result — winning the toss means winning the bet.
03 Top Batsman
A bet on which player within a team will score the most runs. You can participate in this market by analysing the team's batting order and form.
04 Total Runs Over/Under
A bet on whether the total runs scored will be above or below a specified number. For example — whether more than 50 runs will be scored in the first 6 overs.
05 Multi Bet
A bet combining multiple matches or events together. If all selections win, you receive a large return at combined odds, but a single wrong selection loses the entire bet.
06 First Wicket Fall
A market on how many overs will pass before the first wicket falls. Pitch conditions and the weather at the start of the innings play an important role here.
07 Man of the Match
A bet on which player will be named Man of the Match. Players from both teams are candidates, each with their own odds.
How to Read Odds — Three Formats
Odds on a betting platform can be written in three different ways — Decimal, Fractional and American (Moneyline). Although the three formats look different, they all express the same potential return for the same bet. jata 7 generally uses the Decimal format, which is the easiest to understand.
Example 1 — The Same Odds in Three Formats
Team A to win, bet ৳1,000:
| Format | How it is written | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Multiply directly by the bet amount to get the total return |
| Fractional | 5/4 | Win ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked |
| American | +125 | Win ৳125 profit on a ৳100 bet |
If the ৳1,000 bet wins, total return is ৳2,250 (৳1,250 profit + ৳1,000 stake). If the bet loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
Example 2 — Favourite's Odds
Team B to win (favourite), bet ৳1,000:
| Format | How it is written | Return |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.25 | Total return ৳1,250 |
| Fractional | 1/4 | Win ৳1 profit for every ৳4 staked |
| American | -400 | Need to bet ৳400 to win ৳100 |
If the ৳1,000 bet wins, total return is ৳1,250 (৳250 profit). In American format a minus (-) sign means favourite — you need to stake more to win.
In Decimal format, multiply the odds directly by your stake — the result is your total return. Odds can never be below 1.00.
Live In-Play Betting — Bet During the Match
Live betting means placing bets while the match is in progress. In cricket this is particularly interesting because odds shift after every over, every wicket, and even every big shot.
Say Team A loses two quick wickets early in the first innings — their odds of winning will rise immediately (meaning they are now the underdog). Conversely, Team B's odds of winning will shorten. This changed market creates different opportunities compared to pre-match betting.
If a lot of runs are scored in the powerplay, the line on the Over/Under market moves. In the final overs when the gap between the two teams is small, some platforms also offer markets like 'what will happen on the next ball'. Live betting requires quick decisions because odds are updating every moment.
For a multi bet — if three selections have decimal odds of 1.50, 1.80 and 1.90, the combined odds are 1.50 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.13 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳513 — but all three selections must win; if any one loses, the entire bet is lost.
What happens when a wicket falls?
When an important wicket falls, the batting team's odds rise immediately and the bowling team's odds shorten. The Match Winner, run rate and partnership markets all update.
Drama in the final overs
In the last five overs when the target is close, odds change at their fastest. The situation shifts after every four or six.
Over-by-over markets
How many runs will be scored in each over — this market is very popular in T20. Understanding the form of the batsman and bowler is useful here.
Some Practical Tips Before You Start Betting
Keeping a few things in mind helps make betting a better experience as a form of entertainment.
- Set a budget first: Decide how much you will bet each session before you start. If you go over that amount, stop for the day.
- Focus on one match at a time: Rather than betting on many matches at once, concentrate on the one you know most about.
- Understand the odds: Try to understand the odds on Match Winner and other markets — lower odds mean favourite, higher odds mean underdog.
- No rushing in live betting: Even though in-play betting moves fast, take a moment to think before each bet. Avoid large bets driven by emotion.
- Be careful with multi bets: Even if the combined odds look attractive, analyse each selection separately — one wrong pick loses the whole bet.
- Betting is entertainment: Winning is not guaranteed — treat every bet as part of the entertainment, not as a source of income.
